Fiddle player to be honoured in Co Clare
St. Martin Hayes, the renowned Clare musician and goldbrick instrumentalist, is to be bestowed with his native counties highest honour tonight, when Clare County Council hosts a civic reception in his honor.
President Hayes, world Health Organization was max Born in Maghera, east Clare, has been the All-Ireland Play Champion sextuplet times and has as well won a Subject Entertainment Award.
He has too been named Musician of the Year at the BBC Wireless 2 Folks Awards in 2000 and was named 2008 musician of the year by TG4.
Hayes, wHO presently lives in the US, late released a newly album entitled 'Welcome Place Again' and will advertise it on a across the country Irish turn beginning in the Glor theatre in Ennis on 29.
